YouTube’s "Studio Permissions" are designed to make managing your professional presence easier directly within the YouTube interface. However, while these features are great for manual uploads, they can occasionally cause your channel to disappear from the list of available targets in third-party publishing tools like Ozolio.
What is the Problem
The issue stems from a technical gap between YouTube Studio Permissions and the YouTube API (the "bridge" that allows external tools to talk to your channel).
When you invite a Manager or Editor through the YouTube Studio interface, those permissions are currently restricted to the web browser experience only. Because these delegated roles do not yet support API-based access, your channel becomes "invisible" to external platforms.
To restore visibility, you must manage permissions at the Brand Account level, not the Studio level.
How to fix the problem
To resolve this, you will need to opt out of YouTube Studio Permissions and revert to Brand Account Permissions.
Note: You must be logged in as the Primary Owner of the Google/YouTube account to perform these steps.
Step 1: Opt Out of YouTube Studio Permissions
Sign in to studio.youtube.com.
Click the Settings (gear icon) in the bottom-left corner of the sidebar.
Select the Permissions tab.
Select "Opt out of permissions in YouTube Studio."
IMPORTANT: Opting out will remove any users you previously added via the Studio interface. You will need to re-add them using the steps below to ensure they keep their access.
Step 2: Re-assign Access via Brand Account
Navigate to the Google Brand Accounts page.
Select your YouTube channel from the list.
Click Manage Permissions. (You may be prompted to re-verify your password for security).
Click the Invite Users icon in the top right corner.
Enter the email address of the person you wish to add.
Assign them the role of Manager and click Done or Save.
How to make sure it works?
Once the invitation is sent, the recipient must check their email and explicitly accept the invitation before the channel will be visible to third-party tools.
After the invitation is accepted:
Go back to your publishing dashboard.
We recommend clicking "Logout" or "Refresh Account" to force a new connection with YouTube.
Your channel should now appear in the list of available targets.
